A legacy of Hull’s City of Culture year and an Absolutely Cultured project, Humber Street Gallery has hosted some amazing exhibitions and is now a significant contributor to the contemporary visual arts offer in the north. This visually striking and forward-thinking gallery is a blank canvas for artists locally, nationally and internationally to showcase their work.
Previous exhibitions include XXXXX: Fifty Years of Subversion and the Spirit by British artist and anarchist Jamie Reid, Baa’s House by visual artist Hetain Patel and Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2022. Whatever’s on, it’s guaranteed to be an experience like no other.
The downstairs café is an ideal place to refresh, work and chill after visiting the exhibits, with a range of eats and treats from locally sourced suppliers, as well as its rooftop bar with views over the Fruit Market and Humber. Alongside the exhibitions, Humber Street Gallery programmes special events, workshops and screenings which you can book onto through their website.
